Rio Tito required a stateoftheart digital signage and broadcast solution that could be site selective, or display different content to different levels of their building, plus a broadcast system to facilitate video conferencing anywhere in the world. This comprehensive project included the supply, installation and integration of digital signage and display systems, audio visual and video conference systems in over fifty rooms, global streaming and a broadcast function for video and audio presentations. Victoria University collaborative classrooms are also an integral part of the designed system, which allows student interaction with the research in genuine time from a secluded location. Rutledge has a long history in the education sector, and enjoys the work and challenges it presents. Rutledge is elated to be associated with Victoria University and the Construction. As such, the primary objective for this venue is to showcase pioneering technology to suit the architectural design which makes this convention and exhibition space world class. Rutledge implemented all display systems on a native high definition (AD) platform, supported with production quality sound systems and intuitive oversee interfaces, future proofing the system’s extended life. Other system components including the Lewis system, microphone, line slick audio for mixing consoles and Ethernet infrastructure also utilized optical fiber to go the distance.
